Garrus Li
Powerful evil mage of ancient Amun-Syn; originator of Alselinath, the evil organization of devil-worshipers.
Gruven Ket
Gruven Ket was a powerful wizard of the late Second Age who made himself the ruler of Vortesia around 1200 TH. Sometime around 1235 TH, Ket became a Lich. Ket ruled until 1796 TH (525 AR), when the heros Lerrad, Faldren, and Hildron are believed to have defeated him.
Hania DelDoran
High Priestess of the Great Temple of Prolethra in Enterone.
Hildron
Hildron was one of the renowned team of Lerrad, Faldren and Hildron.
Jason Linnaeus
High Patriarch of the Great Temple of Aturahs in Ascari.
John of Zor
John is a semi-mythical character, said to be immortal, who lives in the distant land of Zor. John visits the civilized nations from time to time, always on his own missions. Generally, according to many stories, John of Zor helps the heros and fights the villains, but not all stories about him agree on his motives or even his exact powers.
John of Zor was a mentor of sorts to Lupinus and Alopex early in their careers in Enterone.
Karsma Megalos
Karsma Megalos ("the Great") became the Great Chief of the Serenhai Tribes during the Serenhai Wars.
Lerrad
Lerrad was the leader of the renowned team of Lerrad, Faldren, and Hildron.
Lupinus
Though he started life as a thief, Lupinus became a fighter after being [i]reincarnated[/i] by John of Zor. Lupinus and his companion Alopex are nearly mythical figures from the early Second Age; see the entry for Lupinus and Alopex for more information.
Lur Anor
Possibly mythical wizard of Amun-Syn, credited with creation of a large number of ancient magic items.
Malin Tarseus
As an apprentice at the Grand Academy of Sorcery in Glantra, Malin Tarseus was assigned the task of retrieving the Soulstone of Eirkana (see Recovery of Eirkana's Soulstone for more details). Tarseus, then a graduate of the Academy, went on to adventure throughout the Argossean Region.
Eventually Malin Tarseus and his band settled on the Deveron Isles, where he declared himself Baron.

Holy Seeker (Patriarch) of the Great Temple of En-Teare in Shellas.
S'aub D'aun
This necromancer of the First Age is credited with the creation of the Doom Horn, and he was mentor to Morak Jame. Little else is known of him.

High Mage-Priest of the Great Temple of Waru in Lamdia.
Thassius Phi
Thassius Phi was the founder and only emperor of the Argossean Empire. He was called the "Undying Emperor" because he lived far beyond a normal human lifespan.
While still a young mage, he was arrested in Glantra for the crime of magic use. This was a major formative event in his life, leading directly to the founding of the Empire.
Thaumer
Famed human fighter/mage of the Southern Gulf, creator of the Crystal Sword.
